My name is Chad Jorgenson. I am a native English speaker from Canada and a former scholar of Ancient Greek and Classical Arabic philosophy. I received a BA from the College of the Humanities at Carleton University, Canada, followed by an MA in philosophy and art history from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. After PhD studies at Christ’s College, Cambridge, the University of Fribourg and the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, I held visiting positions in Paris, Rome, Munich and Pisa. I have published a number of academic articles, as well as a book with Cambridge University Press which received particular praise for the quality of the writing.
I have over 12 years of experience working as a freelance editor and translator for a range of private and institutional clients. I have studied a wide variety of languages, both modern and classical, and have translated texts into English from French, German, Italian, Ancient Greek, Latin and Classical Arabic.
I carry out all commissions personally.
